Porsche 911 GT3 2010

The GT3 is a lighter and sportier version developed by Porsche’s colleagues in the motorsports department, with a laser-like focus on the key attributes of light weight, aerodynamics, driving dynamics and power. The GT3 is also a very exclusive car.

GT3 owners describe their cars as addictive, both insanely fast and extremely responsive. It does react with such an immediacy to every input, that it allows instant connection between driver and asphalt.

The biggest change: the engine bay with a displacement of 3.8 liters instead of 3.6 as it used to be. The results: in a 20 horsepower hike to 435 hp at 7,600 rpm and an increase in torque to 317 pound-feet at 6,250 rpm. The dash to 100 kilometers an hour now takes 4.1 seconds, 2/10ths of a second quicker than before and top speed is rated at 312 km/h.

The new GT3 features an improved version of the Porsche Stability Management system (PSM), that only intervenes when the situation truly calls for it. Two worthwhile options will be offered on the new GT3: the first is a front-end lift system that raises the front end by 30 millimeters to clear steep driveways without scraping the lip of the front spoiler on the ground and, the second, entails dynamic engine mounts that can have their stiffness adjusted by way of an electrically charged viscous fluid with magnetic particles in it. This allows a complete elimination of engine movement when driving in high-speed bends or during acceleration runs.
